SUCCESSFUL HANDOVER OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT HORW CAMPUS – RENOVATION AND EXTENSION

With the successful handover of the construction project, we have reached an important milestone in the AV planning for the future Horw Campus.
The refurbished and expanded campus is designed to accommodate around 4,000 students and 1,000 staff from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Lucerne University of Teacher Education. A modern, flexible and future-oriented educational environment is being created across a gross floor area of around 58,600 m².
From an AV perspective, the diverse range of teaching and learning spaces forms the heart of the project: from the large main lecture theatre, through various lecture halls, to modern seminar and standard classrooms.
As an independent and specialist AV design consultancy, we have been commissioned to design the media technology solutions for these different types of rooms. The focus is on clear knowledge transfer, intuitive operating concepts and a reliable AV infrastructure that is consistent across all rooms.

The entire AV planning was modelled using BIM and spatially coordinated with the architectural design and the specialist disciplines involved. This enables the media technology to be integrated into the buildings, rooms and operational processes at an early stage and with precision.
